Summer Luxury Yoga Retreat at Quinta Galegas, Northern Portugal

I am delighted to be running my third retreat at the very special retreat centre, Quinta Galegas, a historic manor house and gardens, which combines high-end luxury with a warm and hospitable ‘home from home’ feel. Our lovely hosts, Simon and Catherine, love nothing more than looking after and getting to know their guests, and will feed you spectacularly with delicious, professionally home-cooked vegetarian or vegan food, much of which comes from their amazing organic garden.
The grounds include a beautiful natural swimming pool, fed by a pure mountain spring – the water is filtered by plants and therefore has no need for harmful chemicals – this is nature therapy at its best. The bedrooms are beautifully and lovingly restored, with great attention to detail, and the grounds create a haven of peace where you can escape the world for a while in comfort. There is a gorgeous, spacious yoga shala and I will be running two yoga sessions a day, designed to help you unwind, restore, rebalance and reconnect to yourself. My partner, Trevor, who is himself an experienced retreat facilitator, will be assisting me on the retreat and will offer some extra optional sessions of Tai Chi and Chi Gong, for those interested, as well as bringing his unique warmth and fun to the week. There will be high quality massages and other therapies on offer through the week and there will be opportunity to go out and about to explore on a day off from the yoga – Porto and the beautiful seaside town of Aveiro are both around an hour away, and there are many rural walks in the local area.
The price varies from €895 to €1280 per person depending what accommodation you choose – some bedrooms are en-suite and more luxurious than others, but all of them are really lovely. You can also choose to share to bring the cost down. Payment of your deposit secures your booking.
