Dates: Tuesday mornings, November 10, 17, 24, December 1, 8, 15, 10am-1pm, offered IN-PERSON at The Roundhouse, Algodres, Portugal
Involute Expanding, a six session in-depth yoga course for women,is designed to harness the treasures that we have gleaned from deep within us during the preceding courses, ‘Involute Fundamentals‘ and ‘Involute Deepening‘, in order to begin our journey of expanding back into the light, as a new, more wise, authentic and empowered version of ourselves. This journey takes us into the fascinating, rich world of the respiratory diaphragm and its intricate fascial connections to other breathing muscles, deep core muscles and organs. We learn how to gradually melt the tension that might have been restricting our breath, through gentle practices that support nervous system regulation and healthy muscle tone of the breathing muscles. And we use a range of breathing techniques to encourage and welcome life-force energy back into our bodies through our breath. We learn about how the diaphragm is a connector – to the heart, the digestive organs, the throat, the feet, the pelvic floor, the deep core muscles and much, much more. Through using the diaphragm as our lens of discovery and fascia wisdom as our vehicle of exploration, we embrace a truly holistic understanding of our body. Underlying themes are a continuation of centering and grounding, as well as authenticity, sovereignty and expanding into a more soul-aligned version of ourselves.
In this course, alongside the more anatomical aspect of this foundational course, we explore female-centric supportive yoga and other practices such as simple womb-honouring vinyasa flow sequences, focused somatic/fascia led movements, gentle breathwork, yoga nidra, kriyas (especially uddiyana bandha), bandhas, mudras, mantras, hypopressives and yin/restorative postures. We also begin to explore the world of pranayama and experience a range of different yogic breath techniques, which improve our breathing capacity and can support us in different ways.
The course will be a small, closed group, to create a safe container that we can relax and expand into, allowing us to explore and gently lean into our edges of trust and intimacy. We will begin each session with a ‘sharing spiral’, which can be a profound and very healing space in which each person in the circle has the opportunity to share whatever is present within them, and we go round the circle as many times as we need until everyone is complete (with an awareness of time of course, so we still have time for the yoga!). When we are not speaking, we practise holding and witnessing each person’s sharing, through active listening and non-judgemental embodied presence.
This course is designed to follow on from the Involute preceding courses, Involute Fundamentals and Involute Deepening. If you would like to join this course but you haven’t yet completed either of these preceding courses, you might still be able to join us, depending on your previous experience of learning with me. Please have a look at the Pre-requisites section below and feel welcome to get in touch for a chat to see if the course is appropriate for you or not.
The online course includes six two hour in-person sessions. In between the immersive sessions you will be given written notes of all the content that we cover, home practice suggestions, journalling prompts and bonus guided practice videos to do at home, plus ongoing support from me throughout the course.
Course price: €180 per person
The first Involute Expanding course will run IN-PERSON at The Roundhouse, Algodres, over six Tuesday evenings, 10am-1pm: November 10, 17, 24, December 1, 8, 15 2026.
Pre-requisites for Participation
As this is delicate, tender work, it requires a previous level of understanding and experience of this kind of deep, internal embodiment work within the pelvic area of the body, ideally undertaken in a female-body centric way. As such, my preference is that you have already participated in one or more of the following courses, retreats or classes with me:
- At least Part 1 (Deep Core Awareness) of my 6-month Involute course offered online in 2023 and in-person in 2024.
- Involute Fundamentals course (in-person or online, 2025-2026)
- Involute Deepening course (in-person or online, 2025-2026)
- Participation in at least one Coming Home women’s yoga retreat with me.
- Participation in at least 3 Involute online monthly women’s yoga sessions.
- At least one focused women’s yoga one-to-one session with me.
If you feel a strong call to join the Involute Expanding course but you can’t meet any of the above pre-requisites, it might still be possible to join, for example if you’ve been attending my yoga classes for some time or if you’ve done this kind of deep embodiment work elsewhere (not necessarily within the yoga tradition). Please get in touch and we can have an open, honest chat about what’s right for you. Whilst staying within my integrity and preserving the safe container of Involute, which is foundational to this deep work, I will do my best to find a way for anyone that feels the call to join us as I believe in the power and importance of this work at this time.
Involute Expanding
Week 1 – Introduction to Involute Expanding; recap of basic principles of Involute Fundamentals and Involute Deepening (grounding, centering, ‘yin’ versus ‘yang’ muscles, building safety, internal strength, integrity & resilience, trust and creating healthy self-honouring boundaries). Introducing themes of Involute Expanding – liberation from what is blocking our life-force energy, moving towards authenticity and personal sovereignty, expanding into a more soul-aligned version of ourselves. Overview of respiratory diaphragm anatomy and functions.
Week 2 – Overview of respiratory diaphragm’s connection with other breathing muscles and how they all work together to enable breath; an investigation into how our breath might be compromised and how the interconnected system is affected by this, and what we might do to begin to liberate the breath again; a look at the intimate connection between our diaphragm and nervous system response; a look at how compromised breath is compromised life-force energy and vitality, a brief look at posture and breath.
Week 3 – Fascia and the wisdom of interconnectivity. Recap of the biotensegrity model of the body. Exploring the connection between the respiratory diaphragm and the three other internal diaphragms (foot, pelvic floor and throat) in more detail, this time with a breathing focus; hypopressives and pranayama techniques for diaphragm health, nervous system regulation, releasing deeply held tension and expansion of breathing.
Week 4 – Intimate connection between the diaphragm and the heart and the fascial interconnectivity between the diaphragm and our breathing and digestive organs; connection to the ´gut brain´; a focus on the diaphragm and our emotional landscape. A look at what stuck emotional energy might be constricting our diaphragm and breath; for example, the diaphragm’s holding of unprocessed fear, stress and anxiety, plus connection to grief and sadness trapped in the lungs, anger trapped in the liver; and past traumas trapped in the psoas muscle.
Week 5 – Deepening into pranayama (yogic breathing) and exploration of different pranayama techniques that help to expand breathing capacity and balance nervous system. Continuation of hypopressives work to stretch and tone the diaphragm and release old stuckness in the whole deep interconnected system of breathing and postural support.
Week 6 – Connection to the mysteries of prana, life-force energy; a look at the respiratory diaphragms and other interconnected body-parts through the lens of the chakras (energy centres) and the subtle energy body; the diaphragm as an initiatory threshold between our physical and spiritual aspects of being; how we welcome and harness life-force energy for healthy, grounded, soul-aligned personal expansion; what it might feel like to live from grounded authenticity and personal sovereignty.
This course leans more towards a yin rather than yang style of practice, as it is designed to help us reconnect to and allow the gifts of our feminine energy to be acknowledged, understood and allowed to blossom. This course is designed for women, due to our different anatomy and particular experiences (for example menstrual cycle, female orgasm, childbirth, miscarriage, abortion, menopause), especially at this potent time on the planet, where a welcoming back of feminine energy is required for balance. It is a big question of mine: ‘What is it to be an empowered woman at this time?‘, and I will be encouraging us all to hold this as an ongoing enquiry throughout the course. That said, one of the key themes throughout the course is finding the complementary balance between our personal unique blend of yin and yang energies. When we polarise into the feminine mysteries, the masculine energy within us must rise too, in order to support our deep dive into what can sometimes feel dark, chaotic and confusing, and provide a safe way back to the light and to order, structure and the deep peace of embodied understanding that can follow. Therefore, we will be acknowledging, exploring and honouring the complementary nature of the masculine energy within us and around us too.
I bring to this course over twenty years experience of being a dedicated student and teacher of yoga, with more recent specialism in women’s yoga and pelvic floor health, as well as being a more recent student (five to ten years) of other ancient modalities of healing and transformation, including shamanic practices (especially within the Celtic and Toltec traditions) and Chinese energy systems such as Tai Chi, Chi Gong and Taoist practices. This course represents my passion and life-work so far and I draw upon my own embodied experience to bring to you a carefully crafted journey of involution, gently beginning our journey of spiralling in towards the deepest, most mysterious layers of our being. The course content will be primarily but not exclusively drawn from the huge body of wisdom held within the ancient yet ever-evolving yoga tradition.
If you are unsure whether this course is for you or not, please get in touch to arrange a free Zoom chat with me so you can find out more and ask any questions you have.

Involute Testimonials
“I think the biggest change for me has been that I am even more aware of myself – my physical body, and the inner workings of my mind, then I was before. I know myself better.”
“By taking the time to explore the workings of the body in a relaxing meaningful way I’ve finally learned to appreciate that it’s OK to relax, it’s OK to delve deep not to be scared of what I might unearth for each small movement provides greater appreciation for my body. I feel more accepting & in tune with my body.”
“The journalling was an unexpected favourite. I have never really got into journalling before with much success but the prompts were so incredibly thoughtful and really helped me take the involute journey to another level. It has also been fundamental in the healing journey I have been on in the last 6 months and something I will absolutely keep in my life.”
“I loved all of it to be honest, every part was learning and delving deeper into the workings of the body. It re-ignited my love for the human body is its intricate workings.”
“Becky created such a nurturing space where I felt completely held. The 1:1 check ins were incredibly valuable for me too.”
“I genuinely felt so held and supported and had absolute trust in Becky and the Involute container she created. I quickly learnt that everything was working out perfectly for me and to trust the process. I really valued the ‘container’ it felt like I knew and my body knew we were in a safe space to ‘go deep’ and really start to explore things that I haven’t before.”
“Becky – I do not have the words to fully express my gratitude to you for creating this course. It’s been absolutely wonderful and I am gutted that it has come to an end. You are such a wonderful teacher/guide – so humble, and kind, and you offer such a bright light to follow. You are a true example of living what you teach and an absolute inspiration.”
“I can recognise parts of self that were under-acknowledged and neglected. I am using knowledge of self, discovered on the ‘Involute’ journey to nurture the neglected parts and develop all of self.”
“Becky you are such a wonderful teacher! Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for sharing your wisdom.”
“Becky is such an incredible teacher, her wisdom and knowledge flows at a steady pace. I could listen to Becky’s voice all day!”
“I honestly feel that during the Involute process I have changed from a girl into a woman. I have begun healthy, pain free menstrual cycles for the first time without hormonal contraception. I have felt able to begin therapy and address trauma. I have a genuinely loving, kind relationship to my body, particularly to my reproductive system which less than 2 years ago was at the point of wanting to get a hysterectomy at age 28, now I feel like I’m learning to listen and respect and send love. I have had significant revelations about how I see myself, how strong I am and I feel like I have regained my health after so many years of not feeling myself. I have also started to have better boundaries in many different situations and take better care of myself. I have more trust in myself to look after myself. I now have better control over my pelvic floor and an understanding of how to ‘breathe with it’ and I have learnt how to release. I have the confidence to practice some intuitive movement/ yoga and do what I feel my body needs.”
