‘Cyclical Yoga’ is a five week yoga course for women, designed to help you reconnect to, explore and support your innately cyclical nature as a woman. Female bodies are subject to strong cyclical variations in hormones and resultant energy-levels, moods and needs, not limited to our menstrual cycle. As women we are therefore naturally in tune to the cyclical nature of life itself, through the changing seasons, the daily solar cycle, the monthly lunar cycle, our menstrual cycle whilst it’s with us and our stage or ‘season’ of life. It feels important, therefore, to examine our yoga practice through this cyclical lens and see how it can best support us, no matter where on the cycle we feel we are at any time.
The course is open to women of all ages and stages, regardless of whether you are menstruating or not at this time. Peri-menopausal and post-menopausal women are most welcome and the course will give you space to feel into how cyclical rhythms continue to show up for you in your life, beyond menstruation. We will work with the seasons, the moon and the different stages of life for a woman. Pre- and post-natal women are also welcome and modifications will be provided as necessary.
The course is also welcome to all, regardless of previous yoga experience. All practices will be fully guided and accessible, and postures/other practices will be tailored for different bodies and capacities whenever needed. I keep group sizes small (maximum 8 participants) so I can give close personal attention to each of you and your individual needs.
As with all my Involute offerings, there will be a strong emphasis on connecting to our deep core muscles including the pelvic floor, our pelvic bowl area including our reproductive organs and cervix, as well as the heart, to support overall health and vitality from a female body perspective. We will also delve into fascial connectivity and organ health amongst other things.
This will be a closed group course, to create a safe container that we can relax and expand into, allowing us to explore and gently lean into our edges of trust and intimacy. Sharing circles will form an important part of our sessions, this being precious medicine for us – authentic connection with others, supportive community and sisterhood and safe places in which to find our authentic voice and share our truths and vulnerabilities can be an essential resource as we journey back to ourselves. We cannot begin to heal until we feel safe in ourselves and in our environment.

Week 1 – Spring/East/Maiden/Menarche/Post-bleed/Rising energy of new beginnings, innocence and learning
Week 2 – Summer/South/Mother/Menstruating Years/Ovulation/Full outward yang expression of creativity
Week 3 – Autumn/West/Creatrix/Peri-menopause/Pre-bleed/Falling energy, going inwards, growing wisdom
Week 4 – Winter/North/Crone/Menopause/Bleed/Inward yin energy, full power, death and rebirth
Week 5 – Putting it all together, how to work with cycles in your yoga practice
Course Price:
€150* per person, which includes 5 immersive three hour in-person sessions, written notes to accompany each week’s theme, life-time access to bonus explanatory videos for each week and four 30 minute guided home practice videos (one for each ‘season’) and follow-up home-practice integration exercises sent by email each week.

The course is designed to be a progressive journey through the natural stages of all cycles, therefore advance booking of the whole course is required to secure your place. However, paying in instalments is possible by prior arrangement if this enables you to attend the course.
Venue: The Roundhouse, Algodres – a beautiful round straw-bale building with reciprocal roof, hand-crafted from natural materials, private, warmed by a woodburner and perfect for women’s work.
